Senator Golden Continues To Offer Seniors Opportunities And Information Regarding New Medicare Part D Program

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden, Chairman of the Senate Aging Committee, in conjunction with My Medicare Matters and the Medicare Rights Center is holding a free registration for Medicare Part D on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at the Bay Ridge Manor located at 476-76th Street from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

State Senator Marty Golden stated, "With the changing drug coverage available to senior citizens here in our community, it is important for our seniors to be aware of the possibilities available to them, and to better understand their options before signing up for a health care plan. The registration will help to insure it’s attendees are receiving all they are entitled to under the new provisions."

Senator Marty Golden has also published and made available an informational flyer entitled, "Medicare, EPIC & You: Understanding the New Rx Benefit". The flyer, which Senator Golden has published, includes facts about the new Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit Program, other important information about Medicare & EPIC, an explanation of New York’s Epic Program, and answers to the question "What If I Already Have Drug Coverage?".
