Senator Marty Golden Announces Blood Drive For Matthew Long
Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C-I, 22nd District) today is announcing that he has made arrangements with Maimonides Medical Center and the Auxiliary Police of New York to to host a three day blood drive in the name of Firefighter Matthew Long, a local resident, who was injured while biking to work during the transit strike.
Maimonides Medical Center Blood Bank, located at 4802 Tenth Avenue, 3rd Floor, will be accepting blood donations in his name on January 24, 25 and 26th from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. For further information, please contact Maimonides Blood Donor Line at (718) 283-7657. Donors must be between the ages of 17 and 75 years of age and must weigh 110 pounds. All donors require ID.
Senator Marty Golden, a personal friend of Matthew Long and the Long Family, stated, "I encourage this community to come together and to make a donation of blood in the name of Matthew Long.
