Rockland County Supervisors To Participate In Power Authority Briefing On Energy-reducing Technology

Rockland Town Supervisors, as well as Rockland County officials will be attending a special workshop organized by New York State Senator Thomas P. Morahan in cooperation with the New York Power Authority. The state agency will present innovative, cost-effective technologies which can reduce energy costs used by traffic signals by as much as 90 percent.

The project, which has been adopted by localities in Westchester, utilizes environmentally friendly technologies, and is credited with promoting energy conservation, as well as stimulating economic growth in localities.
