Senator Morahan Secures Energy Saving Grant For Rockland County
Senator Thomas P. Morahan announced that he has secured a $ 60,000 grant to implement cost-effective energy improvements as well as reducing the consumption and cost of energy at the Rockland County Municipal Building (aka Utility Plant).
Administered by the New York Power Authority, the grant will fund newlighting, a motor, chillerupgrades, replace a boiler, and overhaul and improve the energy management system at the plant, which serves the power needs of the Rockland County Executive,the Rockland CountyLegislature, Board of Elections, Public Defenders Office, and Probation Department.
"In these times of costly energy, the residents of Rockland are well-served by this type of grant, which I know County Executive Vanderhoef will put to good use inreducing the cost of conumption and energy at the facility," said the Senator.
