(Albany, NY) Senator Dale M. Volker (R-I-C, Depew) today announced that he has secured $7,500 to support ToyFest’s 2006. Senator Volker secured these funds as part of the adopted 2006-2007 state budget.

"ToyFest 2006 is celebrating their 20th anniversary this year, and it has been one of the most celebrated events focusing on our area’s rich history of toys and toymaking. The Toy Town Museum continues to reinvent itself and promote the historical significance our community has played in toy making for millions of children across our nation and beyond. I am very pleased to be of assistance and look forward to this year’s event."

Lynn Kinsella, from ToyFest 2006 said, "Every year, ToyFest becomes more popular and is one on western New York’s most exciting summer festivals for families. Not only does ToyFest attract local residents, but it is becoming a tourism destination for families outside of our immediate area. As an added benefit, these festivities significantly raise funds to assist the Toy Town Museum and provides financial support to several not-for-profit organizations in our community. Senator Volker has been a supporter of our organization for many years and we greatly appreciate his continued state financial support for our annual ToyFest event and the Toy Town Museum."

Terance Yarnall, Supervisor of the Town of Aurora said, "ToyFest has been a part of our community for over 20 years. This event has been a tremendous asset to our Town and has ensured that our community’s history of toys and toymaking will never be forgotten. I appreciate Senator Volker securing these state resources for the thousand of people who fully understand that toys and their history truly teach and bring generations together."
