Senator Thompson Advocates For Socio-economic Justice At The 36th Annual Nys Black & Puerto Rican Caucus Conference

Antoine M Thompson

st District, and Mayor Byron Brown of the City of Buffalo.

The documentary film, The Forgotten City, will be the focus of one of the workshops. Through exclusive, breathtaking footage and one-on-one interviews with many citizens and some of Buffalo’s most influential leaders, The Forgotten City exposes the bitter truth about Buffalo and all inner cities. It challenges stereotypes, encourages change and shakes up the status quo. Senator Thompson states that, “The goal of the seminar is to engage political leaders and their constituents- not only in dialogue, but also in the process of community change…”

Senator Thompson will also be sponsoring a seminar promoting the “Millions More Movement,” or MMM as a way to achieve operational unity. This forum will explore the international, national, statewide, and local networks currently established by the MMM with an emphasis on the NYS network and active Local Organizing Committees in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Utica, Albany, and NYC.”I look forward to these events… I’m positive that only with the unity of our most influential minority leaders, can these bitter realities be addressed by major political action and change.”
