Senator Fuschillo And Assemblyman Mcdonough Congratulate Kennedy High School’s Award Winning Science Students
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) and Assemblyman David G. McDonough (19th Assembly District) recently visited Kennedy High School in Bellmore to honor the six Kennedy students who were named semifinalists as part of the annual Intel Science Talent Search. The six semifinalists are Jaime Forman, Ali Krimmer, Erin Samplin, Scott Peters, Brian Tannenbaum, and Allison Saltzman.
Founded 66 years ago, the Intel Science Talent Search is the nation’s oldest science competition. The Kennedy students are among a very select group; only 300 students from across the country are chosen as semifinalists.
During their visit, Senator Fuschillo and Assemblyman McDonough spoke with the students about their projects and their plans for the future. Afterwards, the two state legislators presented each student with copies of the legislative resolutions passed in Albany honoring their achievements.
"These students devoted many hours to conducting research and preparing their projects for presentation. Through their hard work, along with assistance and guidance from their teachers, these young men and women earned a place among the nation’s most elite group of young scientists. This is an extraordinary accomplishment of which everyone in the entire community can be proud," said Senator Fuschillo.
