Senator Fuschillo And Assemblyman Mcdonough Congratulate Wantagh Student On Having His Art Displayed In State Capitol
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) and Assemblyman David G. McDonough (19h Assembly District) recently congratulated James O’Neil, a sophomore at Wantagh High School, on having his art displayed in the State Capitol.
Senator Fuschillo and Assemblyman McDonough welcomed James and his family to Albany and joined them in viewing his project, "Monochromatic Botanies", during its exhibit in the Legislative Office Building.
James’ art was on display as part of the New York State Art Teachers Association’s annual Legislative Student Art Exhibition. Each spring, the Association arranges to have the work of aspiring young artists from across the state displayed in Albany, where it can be viewed by the public.
"James is a very skilled young artist whose talent was on display for legislators, staff members, and visitors from across the state," said Senator Fuschillo. "This is a great honor for James, and I am pleased that we were among the first of the thousands of people who viewed his work."
