Senator Fuschillo And Assemblyman Mcdonough Discuss The Issues With Wantagh High School Students

Mrs. Farinella’s participation in government class got a first hand lesson in state government when Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) and Assemblyman David G. McDonough (19th Assembly District) visited them recently at Wantagh High School.

Senator Fuschillo and Assemblyman McDonough listened as students offered their thoughts on issues such as drunk driving, the death penalty and changing the requirements to obtain a driver license. The class also discussed ways they thought current laws could be improved.

Afterwards, students had the opportunity to ask questions of Senator Fuschillo and Assemblyman McDonough.

"The students showed a good understanding of the issues and had some interesting ideas for new laws," said Senator Fuschillo.
