Senator Fuschillo Congratulates Cure' Of Ars Baseball Team On Cyo Championship "three-peat"
Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) today congratulated the members of the Cure' of Ars Knights sixth and seventh grade baseball team on winning their third consecutive Nassau County CYO championship.
Senator Fuschillo presented each of the players and coaches with a copy of a resolution passed by the New York State Senate honoring their accomplishment.
Led by head coach Al Belbol, Jr. and assistant coach Rich Bianco, the Knights finished the regular season with a 9-3 record. Once in the playoffs, they shut out St. Kilian’s 9-0 in the semifinal round, and defeated St. Dominic’s of Oyster Bay in the championship game by a score of 15-5 to capture their third straight Nassau County CYO Championship.
The team was comprised of Anthony Belbol, Kieran Ryan, Connor Donnelly, Brian Karp, Ben Canarick, Tommy Bianco, James Elliott, Dan Connelly, Timmy Murphy, Zack Haefling, Kevin Podell, Daniel Stern, Justin Zuckerman, and Jared Bonilla.
