Senator Fuschillo Honors Freeport Small Business With Senate Award

Charles J. Fuschillo Jr.

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently honored Rose Fence of Freeport as part of the State Senate’s "New York WORKS!" small business recognition program.

"New York WORKS!" is designed to recognize growing local businesses that are bolstering opportunities for the New York State’s workforce and economy. Rose Fence was nominated for the award by the Freeport Chamber of Commerce.

Rose Fence was established in 1979 by Scott and Joel Rosenweig on Sunrise Highway in Freeport. In the years that followed since this family owned business first opened its doors with two employees, Rose Fence has grown into one of the largest residential fence companies on Long Island. It now employs over 88 Long Islanders.

"Rose Fence plays an important role in the local economy by creating new jobs and offering services to homes across Long Island," said Senator Fuschillo. "It is my pleasure to honor their contributions to our community."
