Senator Fuschillo Informs Residents About Upcoming New York State Trooper Exam

State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) is informing residents that the New York State Police is holding an exam for the position of New York State Trooper. The deadline to register for the New York State Trooper Exam is December 1, 2007.

"The New York State Police offers a rewarding and challenging career with an agency that has a long tradition of outstanding public service. I invite anyone interested in a career characterized by leadership and professionalism to apply to become a New York State Trooper", said Senator Fuschillo.

The New York State Police is a full service police agency, providing essential police services on a statewide basis. They provide a multitude of special services that include: NYSP Helicopter/ Aviation Unit, Bomb Disposal Unit, Canine Unit, Marine Detail, Bicycle Patrols, Snowmobile Patrols, Mobile Response Team, Motorcycle Unit, and SCUBA Unit.

The deadline to register for the New York State Trooper Exam is December 1, 2007. The next regular open competitive examination for the position of New York State Trooper is scheduled for the following dates:

· January 19, 2008
· January 26, 2008
· February 2, 2008
· February 9, 2008
