Senator Fuschillo Offers Important Safety Information To Boaters

Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) announced that his office has free boating safety brochures available for boaters and their families.

"Spending time boating along Long Island’s waterways is a great way to enjoy the summer, but it is important to be prepared before you leave the dock. This brochure contains important information that residents can keep on their boats in case an emergency arises," said Senator Fuschillo.

The brochure contains emergency contact information that boaters should have at all times while out on the water. Emergency contact numbers for the Coast Guard and local police marine bureaus, information about VHF stations where boaters can report emergencies and get weather reports, informational hotline numbers, and tips on how to handle different types of boating emergencies are all contained in the brochure.
