Craig M. Johnson

The grants were part of a $13.2 million fund that is a part of New York State's School-Based Healthcare Center Program. The program's statewide funding has increased 23 percent from last year, according to the State Department of Health.

The on-site clinics provide students with qualified physicians, nurse practitioners and physicians' assistants under the auspices of a community healthcare provider, or near-by hospital. All students enrolled in school are eligible for care.
