Senator Johnson Announces District Office Opening

GARDEN CITY PARK -- Senator Craig M. Johnson, (D-Port Washington), proudly announced the opening of his district office.

The office, situated at 151 Herricks Road, Suite 202, previously served as district headquarters for Johnson's predecessor, Michael A.L. Balboni, who stepped down from the Senate last year to become Gov. Spitzer's homeland security adviser.

“We wanted a sense of continuity,” said Johnson, who was elected to the Senate in a Feb. 6 special election. “For years, residents of the 7th Senate District have known they could come here to find their state senator and his staff. We want to make sure that people who need our help will be able to easily find us.”

Four full-time employees will staff the 1,500 square-foot office, as will Senator Johnson when the Legislature is not in session.
