Skelos And Alfano Welcome America's Miss Teen Scholarship Pagent Winner To The State Capitol

New York State Senate Deputy Majority Leader Dean G. Skelos (R-Rockville Centre) and Assemblyman Tom Alfano welcomed Dominique Ringold, winner of America’s Miss Teen 2006, to the State Capitol on January 16th.

"Dominique is an outstanding role model and an inspiration to young girls throughout her community, the State of New York, and our entire Country," said Senator Skelos. "She is a fantastic student athlete with a tenacious work ethic who I know will continue to be very successful in years to come."

Assemblyman Alfano and the entire State Assembly honored Dominique in the Assembly Chamber to congratulate her achievement.

"Dominique is a bright outstanding young woman who makes Elmont proud," said Assemblyman Alfano. "As a student athlete, she has made her mark on our community. Senator Skelos and I look forward to the day that Dominique passes the Bar Exam."

Dominique was accompanied to the State Capitol by her parents Jerry and Eleanor Ringold as well as her boyfriend Joseph Dickson.
