Savino & Recchia Hosts Turkey Giveaway

Free turkeys were delivered to the Coney Island Cathedral of Deliverance, located at 2816 Mermaid Ave and the South Brooklyn Youth Consortium, a community learning center that provides youth and adult education programs, located at 2811 Mermaid Ave.

Sheryl Robertson, Executive Director of the South Brooklyn Youth Consortium, added, “As you know during this Thanksgiving holiday season, there are many families who do not have the means to purchase a turkey and have a Thanksgiving meal with their family. We sincerely thank Senator Savino, Council Member Recchi, and Local 338 for giving needy families the opportunity to have dinner with their children and grandchildren. We also made a special effort to identify senior citizens who were in dire need of a meal, so they, too could celebrate this holiday meal.”
