Hugh T. Farley

State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C - Schenectady) is teaming up with the Village of Northville for a Family Day in the Park event on Sunday, July 1st, from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Waterfront Park located behind the Main Street businesses in Northville.

This event is an official kick-off to summer in the Fulton County village and the opening of the park for the 2007 summer season. Musical entertainment will be conducted by various Sacandaga Valley Arts Network (SVAN) musicians, with a special performance from 5 to 7 p.m. by the classic rock group BelAirs.

Senator Farley is hosting a Kids Corner, an area filled with children's activities during the day. Activities will include balloon animals and crafts from 3 to 4 p.m.; story hour and coloring from 4 to 5 p.m.; face painting from 5 to 6 p.m.; and games from 6 to 8 p.m.

As part of an outreach effort, Senator Farley said his District Offices typically take part in health fairs or help host festivals and events, such as the Home Safety Day that Senator Farley is helping the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department with on June 30th at the fire house, located at 126 Pawling Street, Hagaman.

Any group or non-profit organization interested in hosting a table at the July 1st Northville Family Day event can call Senator Farley's Amsterdam District Office at 843-2188. Those interested in participating must bring their own tables and chairs.
