Senator Farley Reports That State Superintendent Of Banks Will Appear Before Senate Banks Committee Regarding Subprime Lending And Foreclosures
As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Banks, Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C - Schenectady) announced that Richard H. Neiman, State Superintendent of Banks, will appear before a public meeting of the Senate Banks Committee to brief the Committee members on the issues of subprime lending and foreclosures in New York State, including an update on the efforts of the interagency Halt Abusive Lending Transactions (HALT) Task Force.
The public meeting will be conducted on Thursday, December 13th, at 10 a.m., in Room 124 in the State Capitol.
