Bonacic Announces Arts Grants
State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/I/C - Mount Hope) announced today that eight Ulster County Arts organizations will receive State funding totaling $86,500.
"Supporting the arts of our region is in everyone's best interest. It is crucial to the economic vitality of our communities," Senator Bonacic said.
Senator Bonacic said that the grants range from $3,000 to $20,000 for a variety of programs and their design, creation and advancement in Ulster County. The groups receiving funding are:
The Center for Creative Education
Coming Together Fest
High Meadow Arts
The Huguenot Historical Society of New Paltz
Unison Learning Center
Women’s Studio Workshop
Woodstock Artists Association
The Woodstock Playhouse
"Our region boasts a long tradition of promoting the arts and enriching our culture that we can all be proud of. I always have and will continue to support the local groups that do such an excellent job helping to make our area a colorful place to live and visit," concluded Senator Bonacic.
