Bonacic Named To Senate Environmental Committee
State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/I/C - Mount Hope) has been named by Majority Leader Bruno to serve on the Senate’s Environmental Conservation Committee at his request. Senator Bonacic will begin serving immediately and will retain his Chairmanship of Housing and his membership on Banks, Codes, Commerce, Labor, Judiciary, and Local Government Committees.
"As a member of this Committee, I am able to scrutinize environmental proposals that have an impact on our region, whether they are positive or negative," stated Senator Bonacic. "Our region is one of the most beautiful natural settings in the State and its preservation is critical for us and future generations."
For the past eight years, Senator Bonacic has served on the Budget Subcommittee on Housing, the Environment, Transportation, and Agriculture.
"I look forward to serving on the Environmental Conservation Committee and working with my colleagues on environmental issues important to us all," concluded Senator Bonacic.
