Senator Flanagan Secures Funding For Hauppauge Fire Department's Technical Rescue Trailer

Senator John Flanagan (2nd Senate District) recently visited the Hauppauge Fire Department to view their new Technical Rescue Trailer. The cost of the trailer and its specialized equipment was offset by a state grant secured by Senator Flanagan.

The new equipment is primarily designed for situations such as confined space, trench collapse, building collapse, or high angle rope rescues. By acquiring this new trailer, the fire department will be better suited to serve the residents of Hauppauge as well as provide assistance to other fire departments.

"The volunteers of the Hauppauge Fire Department are truly heroes and I am proud to help them in their efforts to better serve our community. This trailer will enhance their ability to protect the residents of Hauppauge and to assist the volunteers in surrounding areas and that is good for our entire region," stated Senator Flanagan.
