Food Pantry Set To Open In Brooklyn For Those In Need

Brooklyn- Reaching-Out Community Services and State Senator Marty Golden will host a press event marking the opening day at Reaching Out’s newest location, at 7708 New Utrecht Avenue in Brooklyn on Friday, October 12, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. The new pantry will allow the organization to better serve those who need a hand.

For the last 15 years, Reaching-Out Community Services has been helping those in need with groceries offering them to low-income families, the elderly, disabled, unemployed, and the working poor. Its unique yet grassroots style of operation makes those who utilize these services comfortable and aids them through tough times in their lives. Headed by a veteran of the Sanitation Department and staffed by a loyal group of volunteers, this organization and its food pantry represents the best of family assistance groups in New York City.
