It’s Showtime Again In Brooklyn’s Parks...Let The Good Times Roll
Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, 22nd District), with the Bay Ridge-Bensonhurst Parks Task Force, today is announcing plans to host a series of summer concerts throughout the months of June, July and August. The events will be held in parks throughout Senator Golden’s District, from Shore Road Park to Marine Park, and will be held on most Tuesday and Wednesday evenings throughout the summer.
"This community is home to some of the greatest parks in the City of New York," said Senator Marty Golden, "With the sun beginning to shine late into the evening, we need to as a community, head to our parks for fun filled evenings of entertainment. The events have always been a unique experience for all those who attend and this year will be no different. A great lineup for sure, meaning great shows all summer long."
The concerts begin next week with the first two performances: Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. when "The Brooklyn Keys" will perform a mixture of 50’s-70’s and classic oldies at Marine Park, and on Thursday, June 28, 2007, "ANONYMOUS", performs R & B, soul and disco classics, to kick off the Bay Ridge series.
"The Concert Series features talent that brings to life the music we have come to enjoy and love," continued Senator Golden, "So no matter what your preference is, the Beatles, the Oldies, R & B, soul, disco, Do-wop oldies, or the music of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s, there is something for everyone.
