Senator Golden Awards $1,500 To Over Forty Pta To Assist Local Schools

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C, 22nd District) has announced that he has secured $1500 for each Parent Teacher Association of schools located in his district which includes Community School Districts 20, 21 (Region 7) and 22 (Region 6).

The funding secured through the State Senate will be awarded to over forty Parent Teacher Association’s to aid them in purchasing needed supplies and to host events designed to enhance the quality of education within their schools.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "There is nothing more important than the quality of the schools of our community. It is a solid education that will give our students the tools needed to succeed in the future. This funding will aid in creating a school environment that is even more suitable for our children to learn and to grow in. I am confident that each Parent Teacher Association will spend this money with the best interest of our children in mind."

Senator Golden continued, "I have and remain committed to making our schools better, safer, and more equipped to meet the challenges of educating our children. Working with the Parent Teacher Associations, we have made a difference. It is important that this funding continues to make its way to our schools to meet the needs of the student body."
