Senator Golden: Dyker Heights Zoning Proposal Certified By Department Of City Planning

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden today issued the following statement:

"Today was another historic day as it relates to the future of zoning in the community of Dyker Heights. The City Planning Commission has certified the plans put forth to down zone Dyker Heights and insure that the character and integrity of the neighborhood is maintained for years to come. As a community, we have sent a strong message, loud and clear, that we will fight to maintain our quality of life.

I am pleased with the progress that Community Board 10, the Dyker Heights Civic Assocation, with the Department of Citywide Planning, has made in their efforts to protect Dyker Heights from over development. As required by law, these plans must be presented to Community Board 10 for public comment. I urge residents to attend this important hearing in support of these recommendations. It is my hope that the City will move swiftly to implement these plans for the betterment of Dyker Heights."
