Senator Golden Honors Brooklyn College Student Ryan Merola

New York State Senator Martin J. Golden, right, presents Brooklyn College student Ryan Merola with a proclamation in recognition of his extraordinary academic achievements on Friday, May 11, 2007 at Brooklyn College. Merola won the Harry S. Truman Scholarship and the New York City Urban Fellowship.
A third-generation Brooklyn College student, he plans to pursue a career in public service. Merola is a resident of Marine Park and majors in philosophy and political science. He will graduate on May 31 and has been chosen to bring greetings from the graduating class.
