Senator Golden Honors Environmental Contest Winners At P.s. 222
Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, Brooklyn) recently visited Public School 222, where both the first and third grade were winners in the 16th annual “I*MA*GREEN*NATION” Contest, a statewide
competition that encourages student awareness of environmental issues. The P.S. 222 entries competed against hundreds of students from throughout New York State.
Senator Golden stated, “I know that our entire community shares my pride in the fact that you have shown a remarkable awareness and concern for the important environmental challenges that we all face to make our state a better, cleaner place to live. I applaud the local talent and congratulate Public School 222, and Principal Louise Blake, for you have clearly learned ways that you can impact New York State’s environment for the better.”
The students were presented with medals, certificates and t-shirts.
