Senator Golden Makes Major Donation To Help 62nd Precinct Fight Crime
Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden on Friday joined Captain John Sprague, Commanding Officer of the 62nd Precinct, Louis Tromboli, President of the 62nd Precinct Community Council, Brooklyn South Auxilary Chief Tony Christo, and official representing Brooklyn South, in welcoming two new Auxiliary police vans purchased through a grant awarded by Senator Golden. The two new vans, which will be used for patrol and community events, will help the 62nd Precinct fight against crime and maintain the quality of life of the neighborhood.
The ribbon cutting was held outside the 62nd Precinct Station located at 1925 Bath Avenue in Brooklyn.
Senator Marty Golden stated, "As a former New York City Police Officer, I understand the importance of having the very best, most modern and most extensive array of equipment for use by both the Police Officers and Auxiliary officers as they seek to keep neighborhoods safe. These new vans will play a great role in keeping the 62nd Precinct a great place to live, work and raise a family. I am sure that the 62nd Precinct will maximize the usage of these vehicles in a way that best serves the residents of the community.
