At both events, two bunches of balloons, one bunch of 9 and one bunch of 11, will be released into the air in memory of the lives lost.
Senator Golden stated, "This year, the date September 11, 2007 means that is has been six years since the horrific, world changing attacks of September 11, 2001. We must come together as a community, as a City and as a Nation to show that our spirit, our resolve and our hope and love for our country, has not and never will fade. We must remember the lives lost, the dreams shattered and the families torn apart. We must pray for healing and peace and we can never forget the individuals lost on that morning."
