Senator Golden, Senate Aging Committee Chairman, To Host Senior Citizen Town Hall Meeting

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin Golden (R-C, Brooklyn), the Chairman of the New York State Senate Aging Committee, today is announcing that he will be hosting a Senior Citizen Town Hall Meeting on Friday, February 9, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at the Bay Ridge Community Service Center located at 6935-4th Avenue (corner of Ovington Avenue, side of Bethlehem Lutheran Church).

Senator Marty Golden will be discussing neighborhood issues as well as his Aging Committee legislative agenda as being developed in Albany for this legislative session. Senator Golden will be joined by Captain Eric Rodriguez of the 68th Precinct, and representatives from the New York City Departments of Health and Mental Hygiene, Aging, Sanitation, and Transportation. The Metropolitan Transit Authority and Citymeals-on-Wheels will also be in attendance to address concerns and resolve problems residents may address to Senator Golden.

Senator Golden, who was earlier this month re-appointed to his third term as Chairman of the Senate Aging Committee, stated "I invite the constituents from throughout the community to attend this afternoon town hall meeting that will provide seniors the opportunity to garner important information. I regularly host these meetings to allow local seniors to hear the latest information made available through City agencies and to allow them to obtain the services they are eligible for."
