Senator Golden To Update Community On Medicare Services At An Upcoming Town Hall Meeting

Brooklyn- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C, Brooklyn), the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Aging, in conjunction with the Medicare Rights Center, will be sponsoring a question-and-answer session for senior citizens of the community regarding Medicare services for 2008. All are invited to meet with Medicare experts at the Fort Hamilton Senior Center, located at 9941 Fort Hamilton Parkway, on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "It is important that senior citizens have this opportunity to clarify anything that may be confusing related to their health coverage for next year in order to avoid any problems that may directly affect the care that they can receive."

One of the major issues to be addressed will be whether a change in cost is in store for you. Other important questions that will be addressed is what to do to make sure that Medicare Part D is most suitable for each seniors individual needs and what some of the recent developments and changes are in the EPIC Program.

Senator Golden continued, "It is essential that members of the community who use Medicare, especially those who must often anticipate visits to the doctor, to make sure that they know exactly what to expect from their health coverage. The health of individuals, who make up the backbone of our community, is of the utmost importance to all of us. This meeting will allow all who attend to take steps toward ensuring they and their families can live their lives to the fullest in 2008."
