Senator Morahan Co-sponsors Ninth Annual Rockland Youthfest

Senator Thomas P. Morahan wasa major sponsorofRockland County's Ninth Annual Youthfest, which was held on March 11thin the Rockland Community College Fieldhouse. The Senator welcomedhundreds ofevent visitors, and thanked the more than 170 organizations for their participation.

The Senator's constituent service staff workedat the 'Senate Booth', assisting scores of constituents with questions relating togovernmental service delivery. The Senator also visited many YouthFestbooths to speak withcommunity leaders, and to meet and greetyouth service volunteers.

"This event provides a unique opportunity for Rockland County community-based organizations to share information about their activities and services.YouthFest also promotes positive values among the young people of our community," said Senator Morahan.

YouthFest booths featured information on summer and day camps, dance schools, theater groups and sports teams. Big Apple Circusmade an appearance, and there were basketball clinics led by former Knicks player Mel Davis. RCC held itsOpen House during the YouthFest. In addition,a Teddy Bear Hospital was set up by Nyack Hospital, where children "admitted" their teddy bears for a checkup.
