State Legislators To Hold Public Hearing On Governor's Proposed Budget

New York State Senator Thomas P. Morahan (R,C,I, New City) announced that he will be holding a public hearing on the impact of Governor Spitzer's proposed 2007-08 Executive Budget Plan on those who reside and/or work in the lower Hudson Valley. The Senator will be joined at the hearing by State Assembly Members representing the towns of Clarkstown, Haverstraw, Orangetown, Ramapo and Stony Point in Rockland County, and the towns of Tuxedo and Warwick in Orange County.

The public hearing will be held on Friday, March 9, 2007 at the Suffern Free Library, which is located at 210 Lafayette Avenue in Suffern, between the hours of 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Members of the public are invited to attend, and may present an oral and/or a written statement at the hearing. Oral testimony will be limited to under 5 minutes. Anyone interested in testifying at the public hearing should call (845) 425-1818 to be placed on the schedule of speakers.
