Antoine M. Thompson, Nys Senator, 60th District To Host 7th Annual Spelling Bee Challenge
Buffalo – Antoine M. Thompson, NYS Senator, and 60th District will host the 7th Annual Spelling Bee Challenge for students who live and attend school in the district and who are in grades 5th-8th.
This challenge is not limited to public school students. Students attending Private, Catholic of Charter schools are encouraged to participate as well.
Applications were mailed to all elementary schools but interested parties can call 854-8705 for information or a registration form.
This years’ event is co-sponsored by the Buffalo & Erie County Historical Society, Literacy Volunteers and the Buffalo Teachers Federation.
“This event is always very exciting and a lot of fun for both the participants and their families, and a wonderful way for parents and older siblings to come together around a positive educational experience,” said Senator Thompson. He continued by saying that we have to prepare our children for life by doing our share to provide them with a sound basic education.”
