Antoine M. Thompson, Nys Senator, 60th District Will Join Kevin Grupp, Owner Of Salsarita’s For Their Cinco De Mayo Celebration

Buffalo, NY- Today, Antoine M. Thompson, NYS Senator, 60th District (D-60, Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties) will help kick off the weekend long Cinco de Mayo celebration at Salsarita’s on Delaware Avenue where he will present certificates of achievement to three outstanding employees from the Hispanic community for their work through the “Targeted Job Program.”

Those to be honored include Johanna Jirdon and Zulery Hernandez, both are shift leaders and company trainers. Nestor Correa is in training to be a general manager and upon completion will run one of the new locations.

“I understand that hard work and determination goes a long way, especially if you keep your eye on the prize,” said Thompson. He continued by saying that more young people have to realize that nothing happens overnight, success comes from hard work and  believing in one’s self. Just as General Ignacio Zaragonza and his militia of farmers defeated 6,000 well-equipped French forces in the Battle of Puebla, you too can be successful if you are determined and willing to work hard.
