Thompson Set To Host 116th Birthday Celebration For Niagara Falls
Niagara Falls, NY- On March 17, 1892, which also happens to be St. Patrick’s Day, The City of Niagara Falls was incorporated. This year, the world-renowned City of Niagara Falls is celebrating its 116th birthday. This wonderful event follows up Niagara County’s Bi-Centennial Celebration which was held on February 29th.
In honor of this momentous birth milestone, Antoine M. Thompson, New York State Senator (D-60, Parts of Erie & Niagara Counties), will host a party to celebrate Niagara Falls’ 116th birthday on Friday March 14, 2008. The celebration will take place within the lobby of City Hall, located at 745 Main Street, from 5:00pm – 6:00pm. This event is free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served.
Senator Thompson will be joined by Niagara Falls Mayor Paul Dyster, Council Chairman Samuel Fruscione, Councilman Charles Walker, Legislator Renae Kimble, the Niagara Falls High School Choir, the Niagara Falls Housing Authority Choir, Rev. William Nelson- Loefke, Rev. Valerie Haynes and many more.
