Senator Fuschillo “extends The Holidays” For Children In Winthrop Hospital

To help bring smiles to the faces of children in the hospital, State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) and leaders from several local labor unions today visited Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Ward to deliver hundreds of toys they collected as part of the Senator’s annual “Extend the Holidays” toy drive.

    "This toy drive is a wonderful tradition that shows the very best of our community. Each year, many different schools and community organizations join together to bring smiles to children who are going through tough times. The positive impact these toys have on both the children and their families is overwhelming. Everyone who participated in this toy drive has not only given the gift of a toy, but also the gift of happiness," said Senator Fuschillo.
    
    Senator Fuschillo’s “Extend the Holidays” toy drive is an annual tradition which benefits children in Winthrop Hospital’s Pediatric Ward. The toys are delivered after the new year so that children can continue to experience the joy of receiving gifts as part of the holiday season.
