Senator Fuschillo Secures State Funding For "green Energy" Projects To Help Save Taxpayer Dollars In Bellmore And North Bellmore School Districts
“Just as rising energy prices are putting a strain on the family budget, local school districts are being forced to spend more to power their operations, which ultimately costs taxpayers money. Using alternative energy sources like solar power, which is clean and renewable, will help reduce energy costs and save money for taxpayers in the Bellmore and North Bellmore School Districts,” said Senator Fuschillo.
The Bellmore and North Bellmore School Districts will use the state funding secured by Senator Fuschillo to purchase and install solar energy technology. Since solar power is a clean, renewable energy source, it will provide power without the need for oil or gas. It will also help students learn firsthand about the benefits of alternative energy and how it works.
“The Bellmore School District thanks Senator Fuschillo for securing funding for new ‘green’ energy technology. This renewable solar technology will help us save energy, reduce costs, and save money for our district taxpayers. In addition, it will be a wonderful educational opportunity for our children to learn about alternative energy sources,” said Bellmore School District Superintendent Dr. Joseph Famularo.
“On behalf of the North Bellmore Board of Education and the North Bellmore community, we thank the Senator for his efforts in securing the solar technology grant. We are currently working with our district architect to determine the best way to maximize this funding to support the buildings and district facilities,” said North Bellmore School District Superintendent Dominic Mucci.
Senator Fuschillo also previously secured state funding for solar technology in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District.
