State Senator Charles J. Fuschillo, Jr. (8th Senate District) recently welcomed All-State musicians Benjamin Latz and Mallory Feuer, both juniors from East Meadow High School, to the State Capitol in Albany. The students performed in Albany as part of the New York State School Music Association’s (NYSSMA) annual “Music In Our Schools Month”.

Benjamin played the baritone saxophone in a performance with the All-State Instrumental Jazz Ensemble. Mallory performed as an alto with the All-State Vocal Jazz Ensemble.

Senator Fuschillo attended the performances and congratulated Benjamin and Mallory on being selected as All-State Musicians.

“Through many hours of practice and hard work, Benjamin and Mallory were selected from the thousands of students from across the state who auditioned for these prestigious ensembles and had the honor of performing in the State Capitol for state legislators, staff members, and capitol visitors. These are two very talented students who are fine representatives of the East Meadow community, and I am proud to congratulate them on earning a place among an elite group of their peers,” said Senator Fuschillo.
