Canajoharie High School Honors Senator Farley
State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C - Schenectady) enjoyed the last concert of the 2007-08 school year at Canajoharie High School on June 5th. The Senator told the packed audience that he enjoyed elementary school music so much that he married an elementary school music teacher, Sharon Rose Farley. The Senator also revealed that he played the clarinet when he was a student.
The Senator had the pleasure to meet several gifted students at the school,10th grade students David Riley and Sarah Hopler, and Senator Farley.
While at the school, Senator Farley had the pleasure to personally congratulate Dr. Bowden for recently being named Time Warner Cable’s 2008 National Champion Principal.
Dr. Bowden also had a surprise on hand for Senator Farley. Half way through the concert performance, Dr. Bowden presented Senator Farley with a plaque, thanking him for all of the support and dedication the Senator has provided the Canajoharie school district over the years. Senator Farley was named an honorary Cougar at the school.
