Northville Park Event Slated For August 24th
State Senator Hugh T. Farley (R, C - Schenectady) is teaming up with the Village of Northville and the Sacandaga Valley Arts Network (SVAN) for Sacandaga Heritage Day on Sunday, August 24th, from 2 to 7 p.m. in the Waterfront Park located behind the Main Street businesses in Northville.
This event is in conjunction with SVAN’s last Sunday Summer Concert performance and will be held rain or shine.
"For the past two years, my office has partnered with the Village of Northville on special events at the Northville Waterfront Park for the summer season," Senator Farley explained. "This year’s event is similar to those past ones, except that it is being held late in the summer season."
The day will include old-fashioned games and activities from 2 to 4 p.m., a community picnic from 4 to 5 p.m., and a SVAN concert by Dave Ruch who will be performing the songs of New York’s past.
Organizations are welcome to set up displays at this event. Non-profit agencies who will be in attendance include Child Health Plus, HFM Prevention Council and WIC (Women, Infants and Children). Groups must provide their own tables and chairs.
