Senator Farley Salutes St. Mary's Officials For New Canjo Facility
St. Mary’s Hospital hosted a grand opening and dedication of its new Erie Boulevard health care center on July 2nd.
"The Health Center is a true asset to the western part of Montgomery County and those who are unable to travel to Amsterdam to receive services from St. Mary’s Hospital directly. I am proud that I was instrumental in the expansion and operation of this facility by obtaining a $250,000 grant for the project in 2006," Senator Farley (R, C - Schenectady) wrote in a letter to St. Mary’s Hospital President/CEO Victor Giulianelli.
"While the massive flooding that year devastated the Center, today’s dedication proves that the old adage is true: ‘What doesn’t kill me only makes me stronger.’ You’ve not only rebuilt your facility, you’ve improved it and made it stronger and better. For that, I salute you. Congratulations once again on this fine health center and being a true community leader," Senator Farley wrote.
Located next to the Arkell Museum, the 7,500 square-foot facility includes primary care services, a laboratory and a medical imaging center.
At the ceremony, St. Mary’s Hospital officials presented commemorative plaques to its supportive partners in this health care center project. The partners included Mark Lane, president and CEO of Fidelis Care; Joseph Santangelo, executive director of Arkell Hall Foundation; Most Reverend Howard J. Hubbard; and Senator Farley.
