Alesi Receives "Heart & Home Award"
Crisis Nursery of Greater Rochester recognized Senator Alesi at their 4th Annual Valentines Gala
Senator Jim Alesi (R- Perinton), was recently recognized by the Crisis Nursery of Greater Rochester at their 4th annual Valentines Gala as the 2008 "Heart & Home Award" recipient.
Crisis Nursery selected Senator Alesi for his continued commitment in helping children within the community. Senator Alesi was instrumental in bringing Crisis Nursery from concept to fruition and continues to advocate for the prevention of child abuse and neglect.
"I am deeply honored that Crisis Nursery would recognize me in this way," said Senator Alesi. "This community owes a debt of gratitude to Crisis Nursery for all of their hard work. This organization continues to be an asset to children and families seeking help within our region. I am honored to be a part of that."
"The Crisis Nursery is honoring Senator Alesi for his continued support of the nursery and his compassion for children and families. Without his support the Crisis Nursery would not exist today," said Maureen Chisholm, Executive Director Crisis Nursery of Greater Rochester.
The Crisis Nursery of Greater Rochester is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to caring for children in times of family crisis. Types of crises range from simple to catastrophic. The Crisis Nursery seeks to provide temporary care for children at risk of abuse and neglect. But another key objective of the nursery is to offer support services to families and caregivers, so they have a place to turn before abuse occurs.
