Senator Bonacic Tours Red Cross' Center

John J. Bonacic

State Senator John J. Bonacic (R/I/C - Mt. Hope) met today with representatives of the American Red Cross in Goshen. The Red Cross has developed a new supply warehouse in the Town of Wallkill. The Red Cross strategically located the warehouse to serve the State of New York. It is one of six national "hot spots" due to potential and recurring disasters, including flooding.

"The Red Cross has been the key organization when it comes to responding to disasters in the Hudson Valley and Catskills. Their current need is to enlist new volunteers who can help in times of disaster," Senator Bonacic said.

Senator Bonacic has secured $120,000 to help the Red Cross purchase emergency supplies. Those supplies have been used at disaster sites including Colchester, Livingston Manor, Roscoe, Port Jervis, and Deerpark in recent years.
