Nys Senator Parker Announces New Press Secretary

Brooklyn, NY June 30, 2008 – State Senator Parker (D-NY 21st) welcomes Regina Luzincourt as his new Press Secretary.  In her new position, Regina will be responsible for managing the Senator’s day-to-day press operations in his district office.  Additionally, she will serve as the press contact for all local, regional and specialty media in New York City.  Regina specializes in communications research and political communications.

“We are excited to have Ms. Luzincourt join our team,” said Senator Parker, who is also the Minority Whip of the New York State Senate.  “Ms. Luzincourt’s knowledge and experience in the field of Communications will be a valuable asset to my office”.

Regina Luzincourt has held important positions within the New York State Assembly and the Department of Homeless Services.   Regina also held positions as a Graduate Assistant to the League of Women Voters and at the University at Albany Disability Resource Center.

 “I am delighted to join such a dynamic office”, states Regina, “Senator Parker has such a stellar reputation within his district, and I’m looking forward to contributing to his success”.

A native of Haiti, Regina earned her master’s degree in Political Communication from the State University at Albany and a Bachelor of Arts in Rhetoric and Communications from the State University at Albany.  She lives and was raised in the East Flatbush section of Brooklyn.  This East Flatbush resident was schooled in the district and attended Our Lady of Refuge Catholic School for elementary and junior high. Regina is also a member of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., a non-profit whose aim is to enhance the quality of life within the community.
