Senator Parker Gives Big Check To Church Foundation

Brooklyn, NY- July 11, 2008-    Senator Parker presented a check for $100,000 this past Sunday at the Tabernacle Of Praise to support the (TOP) Tabernacle Of Praise Development Corporation. 

“Wherever there are people who are in need within the community, said Senator Parker, “we are eager to reach out to them.  We are grateful to present this check to an organization whose position is to work endlessly for others.  I truly acknowledge their accomplishments”.

This significant contribution comes at such an important time while we’re in the process of revamping the church”, said Bishop Garnes.  "With this sincere contribution, Sen. Parker has made it easier for us to continue working on behalf of the people.”   

“We are pleased to receive such an award from Senator Parker.  With this award we are now able to continue our efforts in conducting various community events throughout the year”, said Nicole Grant Adams, Executive Director.

Established in the Fall of 1998, The Tabernacle Of Praise (TOP) Development Corporation is a non- profit organization that is committed to assisting the members of the Flatbush and East Flatbush community. Their aim is to address the needs of the oppressed population through advocacy, programs, services and community partnerships.

The TOP Development Corporation also conducts ESL (English as a second language) programs, as well as tutorial programs for school -aged children.  These efforts are extremely beneficial to the highly populated ethnic community.
