Senator Golden Gets $250,000 For Improvements At Fort Hamilton High School

SENATOR MARTY GOLDEN ALLOCATES $250,000 TO FORT HAMILTON HIGH SCHOOL TO SUPPORT REHABILITATION

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, Brooklyn) today presented a check in the amount of $250,000 to Fort Hamilton High School Principal Jo Ann Chester to support the rehabilitation of the school’s science laboratory. Senator Golden obtained the New York State grant to modernize the lab, support the purchase of new equipment for regular and advanced placement courses, and to provide the students with the most up to date resources.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "I secured this funding to provide the students of Fort Hamilton High School with the best opportunity to learn and understand the sciences. Since 1941, Fort Hamilton High School has stood as an institution of "excellence in education" and it will continue as such for many years into the future. I am proud to be able to support the students, faculty and administration of Fort Hamilton High School with this grant. I look forward to seeing the science experiments that will be performed in the lab."
