Senator Golden To Hold Town Hall Meeting On Medicare

Martin J. Golden

Brooklyn -- State Senator Marty Golden (R-C, Brooklyn), the Chairman of the Senate Aging Committee is today announcing his plans to host an informative town hall meeting for senior citizens at the Bay Ridge Center for Older Adults, located at 6935-4th Avenue, on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in conjunction with the Medicare Rights Center.

The Medicare Rights Center will make a presentation about what changes have been made to Medicare that will be in effect beginning in 2009 and answer all questions pertaining to Medicare costs, Medicare Part D plans and the EPIC Program.

Senator Marty Golden stated, "These town hall meetings are a great way to better understand some of the complexities of the Medicare system. This forum will simplify some of the rules, regulations and procedures for our seniors. The Medicare Rights Center can give expert advice and help older adults get through the Medicare maze. I hope that many senior citizens will take advantage of this opportunity to get the assistance they need."
