Senator Golden To Host Town Hall For Bensonhurst And Gravesend

SENATOR GOLDEN TO HOST TOWN HALL MEETING FOR BENSONHURST AND GRAVESEND COMMUNITIES

Brooklyn- State Senator Martin J. Golden (R-C, 22nd District) is announcing that he will be hosting a Bensonhurst/Gravesend town hall meeting on Monday, June 9, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Mary Mother of Jesus auditorium located at 2326-84th Street in Brooklyn.

Senator Golden has invited the participation of the following agencies: 62nd Precinct, NYPD, the New York City Fire Department, the NYC Department of Transportation, the New York City Department of Sanitation, the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, Con Edison, the New York City Transit Authority (M.T.A.), the New York City Department of Buildings, and the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation.

Senator Golden will be updating the community on his recent legislative efforts as well as ongoing projects in the community such as his annual pothole survey and his efforts to remove graffiti from our streets. Senator Golden and his staff will be providing important community information for those in attendance as well.

Senator Golden stated, "I welcome the participation of the residents of both Bensonhurst and Gravesend at my upcoming town hall to address the issues that matter the most as we try to keep our communities strong. Let’s work together to keep our neighborhood strong. And at the same time, let’s seek to address the concerns of residents related to public safety, transportation, sanitation, parks and trees, and others."
